The VP of Sales is a strategic leadership role responsible for driving the revenue, market share, and brand presence of G/FORE. The role is responsible for entire US domestic sales growth and management of the US domestic sales force for all Green Grass accounts.
This individual will develop multi-year sales strategies, cultivate relationships with premier golf buyers, and lead a team of sales professionals to achieve ambitious growth targets. The ideal candidate is a highly connected industry veteran who understands the needs of top-tier golf professionals.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Strategy, revenue, and account management
    • Drive overall growth of Green Grass business for GFORE; define multi-year strategies to expand brand presence and market share in Green Grass accounts.
    • Build and maintain executive-level relationships with major Green Grass accounts and buying groups to secure top-tier placement and strategic partnerships.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, increase brand penetration across all major domestic markets, and secure key accounts within top-tier golf clubs and resorts.
  • Finance and Metrics Management
    • Partner closely with merchandising, finance, and operations to manage the Green Grass P&L, managing budgets, forecasting monthly/quarterly/annual sales, and driving consistent year-over-year revenue and margin growth.
    • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and business analyses for the executive leadership team; leverage sales analytics to track performance and manage the pipeline.
    • Strategize pricing, discount, and inventory management policies to maximize gross margin and minimize excess inventory exposure.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and mentor a national Green Grass sales team to achieve quotas and KPIs.
    • Track and measure success against implemented strategies and initiatives, and hold sales representatives accountable to performance.
    • Set clear sales targets (quotas), territory goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team and manage the compensation/commission structure.
    • Oversee the sales cycle, from pre-book to at-once business, ensuring efficient order fulfillment, inventory alignment, and superior customer service.
  • Product, Merchandising & Marketing support
    • Collaborate on exclusive product collections, visual strategies, and activations as appropriate.
    • Collaborate with Merchandising function on seasonal merchandising plans and needs.
    • Represent Green Grass accounts for all Product, Marketing, and operational needs internally.
    • Partner with wholesale customer service and sales reps to ensure first-class customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive sales experience in the apparel or sporting goods industry, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role (Director or VP level).
  • Deep and proven experience leading sales within the specialized Green Grass Golf channel is non-negotiable. Existing relationships with key golf buyers and buying groups across the U.S.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated success in building, managing, and motivating a field-based sales team.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience owning a P&L, developing budgets, and managing complex commission structures.
  • Ability to travel extensively for sales meetings, trade shows, and account management.
