The role of Audio-Visual Support Technician will be dedicated to one of our key Enterprise customers. The primary responsibilities include, providing technical support for all Audio-Visual and Unified Communication technologies within a customerโs meeting collaboration and event spaces, training end users on system functionality and helping to support any new projects or technology upgrades.
What Youโll be Doing:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Audiovisual Support Technician to join our technical support team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing basic AV support, troubleshooting, and setup for events, meetings, and daily operations. This role focuses on ensuring that audiovisual equipment functions smoothly and meets the needs of end users.
โขAV Equipment Setup & Operation: Assist in the setup, testing, and operation of audiovisual equipment, including projectors, microphones, speakers, video displays, and conferencing systems.
โขTechnical Support: Provide first-level technical support to end-users experiencing issues with AV systems. Troubleshoot basic connectivity and functionality issues related to AV hardware and software.
โขEvent Support: Collaborate with event coordinators and internal teams to prepare and manage AV setups for meetings, conferences, webinars, and presentations.
โขPreventive Maintenance: Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on AV equipment to ensure reliability and reduce the likelihood of malfunctions.
โขCable Management: Ensure proper cable routing, organization, and storage to maintain a tidy and efficient AV setup.
โขDocumentation: Maintain accurate logs and documentation of AV setups, troubleshooting procedures, and any issues encountered.
โขCustomer Service: Provide exceptional service and support, ensuring prompt communication and issue resolution for users.
โขInventory Management: Assist in maintaining inventory of AV equipment, cables, and accessories, notifying the supervisor when replacements or upgrades are needed.
What You Bring to Assure Success:
โขFamiliarity with basic to advanced AV systems, including microphones, speakers, projectors, video conferencing, and presentation equipment.
โขBasic understanding of signal flow, audio, and video connections and means of transport (analog and digital audio or video, HDBaseT, Dante, etc.).
โขAbility to troubleshoot common AV issues such as connectivity problems or audio feedback.
โขExperience with AV control systems such as Crestron, Extron, or AMX is a plus.
โขExperience with troubleshooting DSPโs is a plus.
โขFamiliarity with unified conferencing platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex.
โขBasic understanding of networked AV systems.
โขStrong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
โขCustomer service mindset with problem-solving abilities.
โขAttention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
