Job description

Summary
A Scoreboard & Display Specialist will work directly with dealers, sales managers, and territory managers to create relationships with decision makers in the education industry (i.e. collegiate, high school, secondary schools), pro audio video industry, park & recreation market and professional sports facilities. The ideal candidate for this role is in the Cincinnati, Ohio area. This is a remote role.
Responsibilities
  • Primary focus will be lead generation and relationship building within the A/V, Sports and Education markets.
  • Drive sales opportunities through weekly face-to-face meetings.
  • Watchfire will provide a list of contacts for arranging appointments and face-to-face meetings with a structured presentation approach.
  • Make concise and compelling presentations to target audiences
  • Represent Watchfire at relevant industry trade shows focused on conducting product demonstrations and answering product capability questions
  • Drive sales opportunities through weekly face-to-face meetings.
  • Evaluate facilities to help make proper hardware and software recommendations.
  • Follow up on leads generated by marketing efforts to include phone calls, emails, and face-to-face meetings.
  • Utilize CRM tools to record sales activities in support of developing and maintaining a consistent sales pipeline.
  • Generate proposals and guide prospects through the buying process.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant sports market knowledge and trends, including but not limited to evolving display and scoring technologies, high-profile opportunities, pricing, and shifts in the competitive landscape.
  • Provide detailed summaries of project requirements to internal management when submitting projects for quote preparation
Required Qualifications/Skills:
  • Past participant in collegiate athletics is a plus.
  • 0-3 years of outside B2B sales experience with a track record of success
  • 0-2 years' experience selling in the display/scoreboard industry, pro A/V industry, or general sports industry.
  • Experience working with a dealer network.
  • History of prospecting and new account generation.
  • Compelling presentation skills with a natural ability to hold strategic conversations and analyze audiences to change tactics
  • Experience analyzing and preparing responses to formal RFPs
  • Past CRM usage, ideally Salesforce.com
  • Willingness and ability to fly as needed to attend sales presentations and trade shows
  • Maintain physical ability to do moderate lifting and to complete the moderately demanding physical activities required in the job
  • Proficiency in the key Microsoft programs: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and the ability to rent vehicles
Required Education and Licensing
  • Associates degree in business, sales, or technology
  • Bachelor's Degree in business, sales, or technology is preferred
