About the Role
Do you take pride in ensuring that complex systems run flawlessly? We’re looking for a skilled AV Field Engineer to lead the quality control and commissioning of integrated audio-visual projects.
In this role, you’ll work closely with project managers, design engineers, control programmers, and installation teams to deliver fully functional, collaborative AV systems that meet client needs and project specifications. From configuring DSPs to troubleshooting UI, you’ll be the final quality check that ensures every system performs as designed.
What You’ll Do – Test with Precision. Deliver with Confidence.
  • Collaborate with Teams: Partner with project managers, programmers, and clients to resolve issues quickly and keep projects on track.
  • Finalize Documentation: Submit redlined drawings for as-builts, maintain commissioning checklists, and provide IP configuration documentation for AV devices.
  • Commission Systems: Configure and test audio DSPs, gain structures, rack builds, video codecs, and UI to ensure seamless performance.
  • Support Implementation: Assist technicians in the field, answer questions, and provide technical guidance during installs.
  • Manage Code amp; Configurations: Track and maintain versions of DSP and control system code on project servers.
  • Punch List amp; Walkthroughs: Develop and update punch lists with the project team and clients during walkthroughs.
  • Provide Training: Deliver hands-on system training to clients and end users.
  • Pre-Sales Support: Conduct technical site surveys during the sales cycle to help design accurate proposals.
  • Service amp; Support: Offer post-installation troubleshooting and client support when needed.
What You Bring
  • Strong knowledge of AV system integration, commissioning, and best practices.
  • Hands-on skills in DSP programming (Biamp or QSC preferred) and troubleshooting.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking and AV device configuration.
  • Proficiency in rack building, cabling, terminating, and testing.

Requirements
  • 3+ years of AV field installation and commissioning experience.
  • Avixa CTS Certification (CTS-I preferred).
