JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing Data Science Intern will work closely with data scientists to build predictive machine learning models that enhance personalization and optimize audience first marketing strategies. In this role, the intern will help conduct analytical studies and learn to translate complex data into actionable insights about the guest journey, leveraging both structured and unstructured data sources. The internship offers hands on exposure to industry best practices and the full lifecycle of data science in marketing from defining business use cases and strategy to data creation, ingestion pipelines, and model development for deployment.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support data scientists in building, testing, and evaluating predictive machine learning models, including propensity models, to support marketing personalization and audience targeting.
  • Assist with data preparation tasks including data cleaning, transformation, feature creation, and validation across structured and unstructured data sources.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and data quality issues relevant to marketing performance and the guest journey.
  • Apply statistical and analytical techniques to help measure campaign effectiveness and optimization opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings, code reviews, and learning sessions to build technical skills and understanding of real-world marketing data science applications.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 
  • Coursework or experience with machine learning, statistical modeling, and predictive analytics using programming languages such as Python or R.
  • Experience working with datasets using SQL and performing data cleaning, transformation, and validation.
  • Proficient skill level in Microsoft Suite. Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • In pursuit of an Associate, Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution with current class standing of Junior or above.
  • Minimum cumulative 2.8 GPA is required. 
  • A transcript is required upon application.
PREFERRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
  • Experience with data platforms and tools such as Snowflake and Databricks. Knowledge in Marketing Personalization or Travel & Resort Industry, Entertainment and/or Theme Park experience.
  • Preferred majors include: Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, Information Systems, or a related quantitative field.

  • This internship will be an in-person experience, based in our Orlando offices.
  • Interns must be currently pursuing a degree at an accredited university, and must have a graduation date later than April 2027.
