We use this information to help the world’s leading brands make data-informed decisions in content planning, media planning, audience activation, content and ads measurement, and more. 

At Samba, Measurement Science is a service organization responsible for using Samba data, measurement, and insights to add value to our customers. The organization is aligned into four verticals: Measurement Partners, Insights, Strategic Initiatives, and Technical Measurement Operations. The Data Analyst role sits in the Technical Measurement Operations team, and provides support cross-functionally to all Measurement Science team members. The role reports to the VP Measurement Science.

What You'll Do
  • Analyst Tasks
    • Extract data from Samba databases (e.g. conversion rate by audience segment).
    • Perform custom matches and/or joins from disparate sources (e.g. ad exposure files from a publisher, conversion data from a measurement partner, and panel weights from the Samba measurement panel). 
    • Exploratory analysis and statistics (e.g. drivers analysis to identify what the key drivers were of campaign performance, content viewership, or other metrics. 
    • Visualize data to make it more accessible internally and externally.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Independently manage, maintain, and execute the JIRA board ticketing system.
    • Define mechanisms (e.g. weekly standups, office hours) to manage workflows.
    • Incorporate AI into workflows and outputs and turn common requests into repeatable processes (e.g. templates, workbooks).

Required Skills & Experience
  • 4-8 years of experience in a technical data analyst role.
  • Absolute technical fluency in SQL, Python, Databricks, BigQuery.
  • Capabilities in statistical analyses, modeling, and exploratory data investigations. 
  • Strong communication skills, obsessively organized, meticulously detail-oriented.
  • Knowledgeable in how to leverage AI tools to improve efficiency, accuracy, and workflows. 
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in adtech and/or media, marketing, or measurement analytics.
  • Experience independently managing JIRA or similar ticketing and prioritization systems.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for scaling common asks into repeatable processes.

Actual salary offered will depend on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Base salary is just one component of Samba TV’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus opportunity, short-term incentives, and long-term incentives.
