About this opportunity

The Learning & Development (L&D) Trainer is responsible for delivering engaging, high-impact training programs that support performance across AD Mortgage’s sales, operations, and corporate teams. This role partners with leadership and subject matter experts to facilitate training on mortgage products, systems, processes, and compliance, ensuring employees are equipped to succeed in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

Training Delivery

  • Facilitate instructor-led and virtual training sessions for new hires and tenured employees

  • Deliver training on:

    • Onboarding

    • Leadership Development

    • Individual Contributor Development

    • Internal systems and workflows

  • Lead new hire onboarding programs for roles such as Account Executives, Loan Officers, and Operations staff

Stakeholder Collaboration & Content Development

  • Collaborate with Sales, Operations, HR, and Compliance leaders to identify training needs

  • Independently design and develop training content, as well as co-create with L&D team, leveraging tools within Microsoft Suite and Articulate.

  • Partner with Instructional Designers to refine and improve course materials

  • Act as a subject matter reinforcement resource, answering learner questions and providing post-training support

Learner Engagement & Coaching

  • Create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that drives participation and retention

  • Provide real-time coaching and feedback to trainees

  • Support ongoing development through workshops, refreshers, and skill-building sessions

Measurement & Continuous Improvement

  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and performance metrics

  • Identify gaps in knowledge or performance and recommend improvements

  • Continuously enhance delivery techniques and training materials based on feedback and business needs

Location and Schedule
  • This is a full-time, office-based position in a modern, cozy environment in our Troy, MI HQ.

  • Our standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.

Skills & Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, HR, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 2–4+ years of training, facilitation, or teaching experience

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills

  • Experience delivering training in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment

Preferred

  • Mortgage or financial services experience

  • Training and/or facilitation certifications

  • Experience with LMS platforms and virtual training tools (Zoom, Teams, etc.)

  • Experiencing leveraging e-learning software such as Articulate
