DMV / Title Clerk – Audi West Covina

Audi West Covina is a premier luxury automotive dealership committed to delivering an exceptional customer experience while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and professionalism. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized DMV / Title Clerk to join our administrative team and ensure timely and accurate processing of vehicle registration and title transactions.

This position is ideal for an individual with automotive dealership experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining compliance and delivering exceptional internal and external customer service.

Position Summary

The DMV / Title Clerk is responsible for processing vehicle registrations, title transfers, licensing documentation, and related administrative functions while ensuring compliance with California DMV regulations, lender requirements, and dealership policies.

The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities
  • Process all new and used vehicle registrations, title transfers, and DMV transactions accurately and timely.
  • Prepare and submit DMV paperwork in compliance with California regulations.
  • Verify accuracy and completeness of sales and lease documentation.
  • Process vehicle titles, payoff requests, duplicate titles, and title corrections.
  • Monitor pending DMV transactions and resolve outstanding issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, lender requirements, and dealership policies.
  • Maintain vehicle inventory registration records and title files.
  • Coordinate with sales, finance, accounting, customers, and lenders to obtain required documentation.
  • Research and resolve registration, title, and funding discrepancies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer and dealership information.
  • Assist with audits and provide supporting documentation as requested.
  • Support accounting and administrative functions as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of automotive dealership DMV and title processing experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of California DMV regulations and registration procedures.
  • Experience processing retail, lease, wholesale, and out-of-state transactions.
  • Familiarity with DMV systems, title processing platforms, and dealership management systems.
  • Experience with CDK Drive or similar dealership software preferred.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Professional communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment.
