– Mazda & Volkswagen Thousand Oaks

We are seeking a high‑performing Finance Director to lead all Finance & Insurance operations for our Mazda and Volkswagen stores. This role also functions as a Typing Director, ensuring accuracy and consistency in all finance documentation and written communication. You will oversee deal structure, lender relationships, compliance, F&I performance, and customer experience while driving profitability and maintaining strict regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, train, and mentor Finance Managers and F&I staff
  • Set performance goals and maintain accountability
  • Promote a culture of compliance, customer satisfaction, and profitability

F&I Operations

  • Oversee all retail, lease, and commercial finance transactions
  • Structure deals for maximum profitability within guidelines
  • Manage lender and aftermarket provider relationships
  • Monitor and improve product penetration (VSC, GAP, Tire & Wheel, Maintenance, Appearance, etc.)

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, lender, and manufacturer regulations
  • Maintain compliance with TILA, Red Flags, OFAC, FTC Safeguards, FCRA, and state laws
  • Conduct regular audits of deal jackets and finance documentation

Performance & Reporting

  • Analyze monthly F&I performance and KPIs
  • Improve product penetration, reserve income, CSI, and funding times
  • Prepare reports and forecasts for leadership

Customer Experience

  • Deliver a transparent, efficient, professional delivery process
  • Resolve finance‑related customer concerns
  • Support high CSI and online reputation scores

Qualifications

Required

  • 5+ years automotive F&I experience
  • 2+ years as Finance Director or Senior Finance Manager
  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
  • Proven results in finance reserve and product penetration
  • Deep understanding of automotive lending and compliance
  • Valid driver’s license and insurable record

Preferred

  • Experience with CDK, Dealertrack, RouteOne
  • Familiarity with Mazda Financial Services & Volkswagen Credit
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
