An auction assistant provides day-to-day support to auctioneers and management staff. Auction Assistants often encounter challenges such as managing last-minute changes to auction lots, handling bidder inquiries under time pressure, and ensuring all documentation is accurate. Staying organized, maintaining clear communication with the auctioneer and other team members, and being adaptable are key to overcoming these challenges. Proactive preparation—such as double-checking auction materials and familiarizing yourself with the catalog—can help ensure a smooth event and minimize errors.
