Job Description

We are seeking an Environmental Scientist (EIR Scientist) to join our Murfreesboro, TN team! Our business lines include traditional Environmental consulting for both public and private clients. We are looking for an energetic professional who is ready to make the next step in your career. This role will require both in office and field work. Come join us!

Core Responsibilities

  • Performance of site investigations to support environmental projects, including the collection of samples and environmental data.
  • Conduct and document field activities such as soil, soil vapor and groundwater sampling, installation of soil borings and monitoring wells, and tank excavations and/or removals.
  • Management and analysis of sampling data, including summary tables, result interpretation, and sample location maps.
  • Assisting clients with a variety of environmental, health, and safety needs, including environmental regulatory compliance, environmental permitting, industrial hygiene, and health and safety matters.
  • Preparing technical reports including but not limited to proposals, work plans, environmental reports, permit applications, and health & safety plans.
  • Organizing and prioritize a diverse workload; maintain accurate records.

Youll thrive here if you have

  • BS in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
  • 2-5 years of related environmental consulting experience, TN-specific experience preferred.
  • Experience with Phase 1 and Phase 2 Site assessments, other site investigations including USTs, commercial and industrial sites, Stormwater (EPSC).
  • Ability to work effectively on multiple assignments, prioritizing and delegating activities, and delivering on tight deadlines.
  • Capable of working independently, under direct supervision of others, and in a team-orientated environment.
  • Valid drivers license and excellent driving record.
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Microsoft PC applications; WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, TEAMS
  • Strong technical, analytical, and research skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Preferred 40-Hour HAZWOPER
  • Asbestos inspector certification preferred
  • Ability for overnight travel (typically in-state) as needed (average 20%).
  • Local Travel up to 2-3 hrs. multiple times per week.Ability to perform moderately strenuous tasks.
  • Ability to work independently in rural and metro environments.
  • Experience with Asbestos and other building Sciences issues is preferred
  • Technical writing skills are required
