Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting comprehensive psychological assessments to formulate and deliver individualized therapy plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, families, and group therapy sessions, utilizing techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and progress notes while adhering to regulatory and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with legal requirements.
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams, including psychiatrists and community resources, to deliver comprehensive and integrated care to clients.
  • Participating in continuous professional development, attending workshops, and staying abreast of the latest research trends in mental health to ensure effective treatment practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on adults and children experiencing various mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma-related issues, substance use disorders, and relationship conflicts. You will be instrumental in supporting individuals who have had limited access to mental health resources, providing them with compassionate care that fosters recovery and resilience.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field, with an active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LCPC) in Kansas.
  • A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience, preferably in clinical settings.
  • Strong understanding of ethical and legal standards in counseling practice.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with a diverse clientele.
  • Demonstrated capability to work effectively within a healthcare team.
