Staff Analog & Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Analog Devices is hiring a Staff Analog & Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer in Colorado Springs for the Instrumentation business unit, primarily targeting Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) applications. The role involves analysis, research, design, simulation, characterization, and release-to-production of high-performance, power-delivery and measurement Integrated Circuits.
As part of the ATE design team, you will create high-performance solutions used worldwide in production testing of the most advanced ICs. The continued growth of high-performance computational ICs such as AI processors, GPUs, High Bandwidth Memory and other advanced semiconductors demands innovative solutions for high performance power handling and measurement.
The successful candidate will join a team that has created the most advanced and highly integrated solutions on the market. The successful candidate must have a strong, intuitive capability in solving complex challenges. The candidate will be self-motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
Job Location: Colorado Springs, CO (preferred) or Wilmington, MA
Responsibilities
  • Lead the architectural definition and design of complex mixed-signal ICs from concept through production release
  • Participate in design optimization for power, performance, and area, and ensure compliance with rigorous quality standards.
  • Additionally, you will provide technical guidance to junior engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovative solutions and deliver successful products to market.
  • Work with digital design and design verification teams on block and system integration and verification at the chip level
  • Coordinate with product definition, applications, and test engineering to define requirements and oversee the transition of new products from concept to production release
  • Assess and resolve complex integrated circuit issues in the laboratory

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, 7+ years CMOS IC design experience
  • Familiar with high-gain/low-noise amplifiers, switching regulator circuits, comparators, integrators, voltage references, LDOs, ADCs and DACs
  • Excellent written/verbal communication; strong cross-team collaboration
  • Manage layout and post-layout simulations

Preferred Qualifications
  • Switching regulator circuit design background
  • Precision analog design background (amplifiers, low noise circuitry, ADCs and DACs)
  • Experience with BiCMOS analog design
  • Proficient in Cadence schematic capture and SPICE simulation
  • Skilled with MATLAB or similar modeling tools
  • Analog/digital behavioral modelling expertise
  • Team and project leadership experience
