Job description

Rutherford MHC Management is looking to hire a full-time Mobile Home Community Manager for a beautiful all-age mobile home community located in Fresno, California.

The Community Manager is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the Manufactured Housing Park run smoothly and efficiently, including ongoing maintenance of a clean and well-run Park environment while fostering good will with the Community's residents and owners in a professional manner.

The Community Manager would be responsible for all aspects of property management including:

  • Maintenance

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A COMMUNITY MANAGER

As a Community Manager, you oversee day-to-day operations, and facilitate community and resident relations. You are a strategic problem solver. A day in the life of a Community Manager will include managing rental activity, ensuring all park residents follow park rules, communicating positively and effectively with residents, performing administrative office functions, and in service rotation as an on-call resource for the mobile home park. Some might find it stressful, but you manage responsibilities in an unpredictable environment while caring for others. You monitor resident satisfaction to ensure a positive living experience. You definitely have paperwork to complete, but you enjoy the frequent interruptions and opportunities to interact with a variety of people.

You also get to physically walk and inspect the community on a regular basis to address issues and ensure that everything is up to our high standards. Your excellent communication and interpersonal skills come into play as you interact with residents and collaborate with other staff and regional managers. You are always courteous and professional in all your interactions. You are never bored! You take pride in providing well-managed living arrangements for the tenants.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A COMMUNITY MANAGER

Candidates are required to live on-site at this community. Company-provided housing and utilities are included as part of the overall compensation package. Strong customer service and public relation skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers, co-workers, managers and residents.

Excellent organizational and project management skills; Ability to multitask a must, excellent leadership capabilities and a strong focus on customer service in balance with guideline enforcement. Computer literate. No prior property management experience necessary.

  • Basic math skills and understanding of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Google WorkSpace and ManageAmerica (willing to train).
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Leadership experience that included establishing goals and expectations while managing performance and providing guidance
  • Must successfully complete regulatory and job training requirements
