Your Impact:
  • Participate on cross-functional project teams to perform expert level development, debugging and technical support for technical solutions within the product portfolio along with facilitating and conducting technical knowledge transfers and code reviews
  • Gather and document business requirements for new functionality and application enhancements
  • Lead and coordinate technical design for complex technology solutions under limited guidance
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application workloads deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), identifying performance bottlenecks and collaborating with DevOps teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Technical guidance from architecture and technical leads
  • Business guidance from business systems analysts and product owners
  • Complete project management activities, including development of project plans, monitoring project performance, and implementation plans
  • Coach and guide experienced software engineers through technical tasks and work with business systems analysts, product owners, business areas, and technical experts to implement secure and compliant technical solutions
  • Serve as the technical liaison to business areas and other technology teams in all aspects of the labor management application, including afterhours support on an as needed basis

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month's extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in management information systems, Computer Science, Business, or other analytical disciplines or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of IT experience delivering enterprise applications (design, development, and end-to-end delivery), with a proven track record leading complex, cross-team initiatives
  • 5+ years of expert-level proficiency in .NET and C# (including .NET 8+), with deep experience in ASP.NET Core, Web API, and MVC, and a strong grounding in OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • 5+ years designing and building microservices, RESTful APIs, and event-driven/distributed systems, including resiliency patterns, observability, scalability, and high availability.
  • 5+ years of experience with SQL, database design, and the use of ORM frameworks (such as Dapper or Entity Framework) to develop efficient and scalable across data stores such as Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Azure Cosmos DB
  • 1+ years of experience monitoring and troubleshooting application workloads deployed to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), identifying performance bottlenecks and collaborating with DevOps teams to resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in distributed systems
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability with a focus on delivering high quality code

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum environments collaborating closely with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills; proven ability to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks (React, Next.js, or Blazor) integrated with backend APIs
  • Experience using logging and diagnostic tools in Azure to discover, diagnose, and solve problems.
  • Experience building highly scalable systems and performance tuning them.
  • Regular use of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Clean Architecture for enterprise-scale solutions
  • Test automation background (unit, integration, end-to-end/load testing) using frameworks such as xUnit, Selenium, and Robot, with a commitment to high coverage and maintainable test suites
