What you can expect as the Senior Technical Project Manager at Fortressโ€ฆย  As a Senior Technical Project Manager, you will lead complex cybersecurity delivery engagements from initiation through execution, partnering with clients, internal teams, and external stakeholders to deliver high-impact outcomes aligned with Fortress strategic objectives. This role combines technical project leadership, cybersecurity delivery coordination, and consultative client engagement. ย  You will oversee project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, stakeholder communication, and delivery execution while helping clients align operational processes and governance workflows to Fortress capabilities. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at the intersection of cybersecurity delivery, technical problem-solving, and client advisory services.ย This role will heavily support cybersecurity initiatives related to Cyber GRC and Vulnerability Management, helping clients improve governance processes, remediation coordination, operational visibility, and cybersecurity program maturity. ย  Beyond traditional project coordination, you will be expected to actively contribute to solving technical and operational delivery challenges, guide clients through process alignment and implementation discussions, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the engagement lifecycle.
Responsibilities include:ย

  • Lead and manage complex cybersecurity delivery engagements from initiation through completion.
  • \t
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, ensuring alignment between customer requirements, technical delivery objectives, and Fortress strategic goals.
  • \t
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including task breakdowns, milestones, timelines, dependencies, and resource allocations.
  • \t
  • Lead Cyber GRC and cybersecurity program delivery initiatives, partnering with clients to improve governance processes, operational workflows, and remediation coordination efforts.
  • \t
  • Lead vulnerability management engagements, coordinating remediation efforts, stakeholder communication, reporting, and delivery execution.
  • \t
  • Partner directly with clients to document operational processes, identify gaps, and align Fortress solutions with customer business and cybersecurity objectives.
  • \t
  • Build strong client relationships by representing Fortress in a consultative, solutions-oriented manner throughout project execution and delivery engagements.
  • \t
  • Act as the primary point of contact for project communication, stakeholder alignment, escalations, and issue resolution.
  • \t
  • Proactively identify and manage project risks, scope changes, dependencies, and delivery obstacles to ensure successful project outcomes.
  • \t
  • Serve as an SME for Fortress products, capabilities, and cybersecurity delivery best practices.
  • \t
  • Act as an escalation point for complex project and technical delivery challenges, contributing directly to problem-solving and resolution efforts when needed.

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery outcomes through process improvements, workflow optimization, stakeholder alignment, and solution recommendations.

  • Use AI-enabled tools and workflows throughout the project lifecycle to improve communication, planning, reporting, coordination, documentation, tracking, and delivery efficiency.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical teams, customer stakeholders, and leadership to ensure successful implementation and customer satisfaction.

Minimum Qualifications:ย

  • 5โ€“8 years of experience in technical project management, cybersecurity delivery, or technical implementation roles, with a proven track record of leading complex projects from planning through execution.

  • Experience supporting cybersecurity, Cyber GRC, or vulnerability management programs within enterprise environments.
  • \t
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity delivery concepts, governance workflows, and client-facing implementation practices.
  • \t
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and hands-on experience with agile project management tools.
  • \t
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • \t
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in fast-paced environments.
  • \t
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and analytically, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving delivery challenges.
