Job description

About Galvanize
Galvanize is a global asset manager investing at the intersection of energy innovation, resilience, and intelligence. The firm deploys capital across seed, venture, growth, public equities, credit, and real estate, combining investment expertise with deep in-house capabilities in technology, policy, and markets. Galvanize is structured to rapidly identify and execute on investment opportunities created by the energy transition, across all sectors of the economy.
Role
The Strategy Associate sits within the Galvanize Platform and plays a central role in advancing the firm's investment capabilities and strategic growth.
This is a high-impact, cross-functional role working closely with investment teams and senior leadership. The Associate develops cross-asset insights, supports firm-wide strategic initiatives, and engages externally with leaders across climate, industry, and finance.
The role blends analytical rigor with ecosystem engagement and execution. You will generate market insights to inform investment decisions, activate a global network of partners, and design high-impact convenings that shape dialogue across the energy transition.
Essential Job Responsibilities
  • Strategy Initiatives & Research
    • Develop high-quality materials to support firm-wide strategic initiatives, partnerships, and growth efforts
    • Conduct targeted deep dives on priority themes (e.g., cross-firm investable opportunities across the nuclear supply chain, climate physical risk, or carbon markets)
    • Produce market maps, thematic analyses, and internal briefings that inform investment and partnership decisions
    • Synthesize insights across teams and asset classes into clear, actionable outputs for internal and external audiences
  • Network Development & Value Creation
    • Help manage and activate Galvanize's global network, including corporates, investors, NGOs, and industry bodies
    • Capture insights from network interactions and translate them into actionable inputs for investment teams
    • Drive follow-ups, introductions, and relationship development across key stakeholders
    • Support portfolio companies through strategic introductions, partnerships, and go-to-market efforts
    • Contribute to external initiatives (e.g., working groups, partnerships), with the opportunity to represent Galvanize over time
  • Convening Strategy
    • Design and execute strategic convenings (e.g., roundtables, executive dinners) that bring together senior leaders across climate, industry, and finance
    • Drive key components of the Galvanize Solutions Summit, including content strategy and partner engagement
    • Capture and synthesize insights from convenings to inform firm strategy and investment activity
Required Qualifications
  • Strong alignment with Galvanize's mission to accelerate and scale climate solutions
  • 2-4 years of experience in consulting, investing, partnerships, or a high-growth operating environment
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with the ability to distill complex market, policy, and business information into clear insights and actionable outputs
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and execute against tight timelines
  • Experience working across stakeholders (e.g., corporates, investors, startups), with strong relationship management and communication skills
  • Proven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and support cross-functional initiatives
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience developing presentations and external-facing materials
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience in climate tech, energy transition, or sustainability-related sectors
  • Familiarity with multiple asset classes (e.g., venture, growth, credit, real estate, public equities)
  • Experience planning or executing events, convenings, or external engagement strategies
Compensation and Benefits
  • The estimated base salary range is $125,000 - $150,000, with placement within the range based on relevant experience
  • Role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus
  • Generous benefits package, including employer-paid health coverage options
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • 25 days of PTO which is inclusive of vacation, personal time and sick leave
  • Monthly wellness benefit that covers a broad range of activities
  • Annual stipend for employer-sponsored professional development opportunities
  • 16-weeks paid parental leave for parents of any gender
