    Job description

    Our client, a global organization in Stamford Connecticut, is looking for a Senior Level Solution Architect with a strong foundation in Java Technologies.  This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a Global Platform Service team comprised of peer level colleagues that work across multiple technologies stacks.   As the Java Solution Subject Matter Expert, you will work with the internal functional and technical teams, as well as an external MSP organization on design decisions.  You will develop and provide input into the roadmap for the evaluation of the enterprise application portfolio.

    Required Skills:

    •        10+ years IT experience with at least 5+ years as a JAVA architect with previous development experience
    •            ESB, Streaming / Messaging, and API Management platforms experience highly desired.
    •            Programming skills using JAVA, J2EE, Weblogic, JavaScript, EJB, JMS, SOAP / REST Web Services, XML, JSON, WCF, Angular/MVC is                highly desired.
    •            Experience with database access protocols such as ODBC, JDBC, SQL
    •            Strong understanding of container concepts, such as Docker and / or Kubernetes, is desired.
    •            Understand the various disciplines of application solution architecture, including development, integration, security, reporting.
    •            Prior experience as a business analyst, programmer and data modeler is highly desired, with a strong understanding of Secure Software                  Development Life Cycle process and tooling behind it.
    •            Ability to develop prototypes to test design decisions is required.
    •            Ability to research and assess new tools and platforms from both a technical and cost feasibility perspective is required.
    •            Strong hands on experience with DevOps tooling (such as SonarQube and Subversion and / or Git, Azure DevOps), is highly desired.
    •            Experience with large platforms such as SAS or SAP is a plus.
    •            Programming experience with Python is a plus.
