Your Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious professional to join our growing Construction Advisory and Dispute Services practice as an Associate Director. This is a new role that offers a unique chance to collaborate with seasoned professionals, enhance your skills, and lead critical and complex projects from inception to completion in project controls, claims and disputes, within a team focused on growth, innovation and excellence.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and oversee forensic delay analysis, quantum analysis, productivity analysis and insurance loss quantification for residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects
  • Lead planning and project controls, including progress tracking, cost analysis, and loss quantifications
  • Assist in cost estimation and cost planning from design documents
  • Provide strategic oversight for analyzing complex project schedules, and the investigation and quantification of damages
  • Ensure accurate data extraction by reviewing project contemporaneous records, identifying key evidence, and utilizing advanced tools for comprehensive planning and reporting
  • Effective internal and external document control and management
  • Prepare concise reports outlining the analyses findings, ensuring clarity and precision in presenting data
  • Communicate with clients, legal counsel, and insurance professionals
  • Lead engagement proposals and drive business development initiatives
  • Coach, mentor, and train junior staff; deliver internal training; assign work strategically; and conduct performance reviews.
  • Visit project sites as needed

Your Experience and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, quantity surveying or related discipline
  • 6-10 years of experience in delay analysis, damage quantification, or project management in engineering and construction industry
  • Experience in delay analysis and damage quantification work related to contractual claims, disputes and litigation would be an asset
  • Strong understanding of cost estimation and cost planning for construction and infrastructure projects
  • Understanding of various construction contracting models
  • Proficient in Primavera or other project scheduling software
  • Professional certifications such as, PSP, CCP, MRICS or PQS would be an asset
  • Proficient in MS Office tools such as, Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Effective communication, technical writing, and client management skills
  • Willingness to travel within Canada and internationally as needed

The expected range of compensation for this role is $88,000 & $134,000/ year
