Job description

Overview

The Laboratory Supervisor at MANA Lab at the Fayetteville Diagnostic clinic will oversee daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring compliance with CLIA regulations. Manage and provide guidance to the Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Phlebotomists, Laboratory Assistants and Ancillary Receptionists. Perform both CLIA waived and non-waived laboratory procedures with independent judgment. Assist with specimen processing, reception, and phlebotomy as necessary. Monitor laboratory performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Must be detail oriented, and enjoy leading others. Must have strong leadership and team management skills. Have comprehensive knowledge of laboratory procedures and regulations.

Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Previous supervisory experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.

Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (Medical Technology) required. 

Clinic operational hours are Monday thru Friday 7:30am - 5:30pm, no nights, major holidays, or weekends.

Responsibilities: 

  • Provide daily oversight for lab, ancillary reception, and phlebotomy
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly quality control checks on lab instrumentation
  • Keep up to date with ordering supplies and ensure inventory is up to date and accurate
  • Provide reports and test counts on a daily, weekly and monthly basis

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor of Science degree or Clinical Laboratory Science (Medical Technologist)
  • 12 - 18 months related experience and/or training
  • 6+ months management experience and/or training
