Job description

We are looking for a dependable Receptionist 2 to support front desk operations for a client site in Huntsville, Alabama. This Contract position will run for approximately 8 to 10 weeks and is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-moving, customer-facing environment. The person in this role will welcome visitors, manage site access activities, and provide administrative support while maintaining a detail-oriented and organized front office presence.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome visitors, contractors, and guests, ensure a welcoming arrival experience, and manage the check-in process at the front desk.
• Prepare and issue photo identification and access badges for visitors and contractors while following site security procedures.
• Coordinate conference room reservations and help maintain smooth scheduling for onsite meetings and events.
• Provide day-to-day clerical and administrative assistance, including handling front desk communications and general office support tasks.
• Partner with onsite teams to assist with operational requests and complete assigned support activities as business needs change.
• Enter and track facility service requests and maintenance concerns through the designated work order system.
• Maintain and update the site concierge playbook so current procedures and key information remain available at the reception desk.
• Support a flexible work schedule, including occasional overtime, and take on additional duties as assigned to meet site needs.• At least 2 years of experience in a receptionist or administrative support role is required.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required; additional college coursework or an associate degree is preferred.
• Previous experience in a high-traffic front desk or customer-facing office setting is strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate professionally in person, by phone, and in writing.
• Proven ability to stay organized, manage multiple priorities, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with PCs and common workplace software, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams.
• Ability to remain seated for extended periods, climb stairs when needed, and lift up to 25 pounds.
