  • How you'll contribute
    The Residency Program Coordinator provides administrative support to the Residency Program, Program Director, Associate Program Director, Administrative Director of Medical Education/Medical Education Manager and Director of Medical Education. The Residency Coordinator will be required to conform to the rules and regulations of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) as it relates to medical education.
    Essential Functions

Responsible for various aspects of the Department of Medical Education and is responsible for the coordination of continuing medical education programs to ensure the success of the Department and its programs.
  • Maintains confidential records.
  • Ensures a positive organizational image through cost effective measures, optimal lines of communication and effective support of all programs within area of responsibility.
  • Coordinates and provides support in daily administration of office functions with effectively supports the Residency Program's services and image.
  • Coordinates/maintains the Program Director/Associate Program Directors' daily schedule(s).
  • Provides support and guidance and leadership to all students, interns, residents and chief residents.
  • Administration/coordination of program activities with faculty, residents, staff (ie administrative meetings, GME activities, program lecture series, lecture room scheduling, Journal Club, Harrison Series, etc.)
  • Maintains accurate Resident time-off documentation and reports the documentation to the Administrative Director of Medical Education in timely manner for proper payroll submission.
  • Prepares agendas and records minutes for Training Program meetings; prepares letters of recommendations and verification of program credit to requesting organizations for current and past house-staff; prepares necessary informational material and reports for meetings and quarterly evaluations.
  • Job Qualifications
    Experience
    Required:
    - Five (5) years experience in office administration with a minimum of two (2) of those years in a healthcare related setting is required. Two (2) of those years in a medical education program preferred.
  • - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point. Page Maker experience is a plus. Database management experience required.
