What is an associate product manager?

An Associate Product Manager (APM) is an entry-level role in product management, responsible for assisting product managers in developing, launching, and improving products. APMs often conduct market research, help define product requirements, collaborate with engineering and design teams, and track product performance. This role is designed to provide foundational experience in product management and often serves as a stepping stone to more senior product roles. Job description

Associate Product Manager, Strategic Accounts (IC2)
San Francisco, CA or New York, NY
Product management at Dealpath looks different than it did even a year ago. AI has changed what one PM can own, and the lines between product, design, and engineering are coming together in a good way. We're seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Strategic Accounts pod, the team responsible for the roadmap that keeps Dealpath's largest and most important customers growing with us. You'll report to Jeff Blasbalg and get hands-on experience shipping products for some of the largest and most sophisticated real estate investment firms in the world, with the mentorship and structure to build toward greater ownership.
Product Managers at Dealpath are responsible for more than roadmaps. They own outcomes that span product, design, and engineering, and AI has made that scope possible for a team our size. We're a nimble group that's moved fast to rebuild how we build product, and we're looking for people who want that kind of range.
We're seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our Strategic Accounts pod, the team responsible for the roadmap that keeps Dealpath's largest and most important customers growing with us. You'll report to the Senior Director of Product Management, and get hands-on experience shipping products for some of the largest and most sophisticated real estate investment firms in the world, working alongside people who are as collaborative as they are sharp, with the mentorship and structure to build toward greater ownership.
You're excited about this opportunity because you will:
  • Use AI as a core part of how you work from day one: build first-pass prototypes and specs
  • Support the Strategic Accounts roadmap, contributing to feature definition and execution under the mentorship of senior PMs and Jeff
  • Get exposure to direct customer conversations with our CS and Implementation teams, building the skills to eventually own discovery and validation yourself
  • Learn Dealpath's product and the CRE domain deeply, working alongside a highly experienced team and executive-level clients
  • Build toward increasing autonomy on prioritization, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication as you grow
We're excited that you have:
  • Genuine curiosity about AI tools and real motivation to build fluency using them day to day, not just checking a box. You should already be comfortable using AI to build things, with the self-awareness to know its limits
  • Strong analytical skills and structured thinking, with a bias toward getting in front of customers to learn
  • A coachable, low-ego approach and eagerness to learn from a highly experienced pod
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of professional experience, ideally with some exposure to product management, data analysis, or CRE
  • Ability to work from our San Francisco or NYC office 3+ days per week
Bonus points:
  • Background or genuine interest in commercial real estate, private equity, alternatives, investment banking, or management consulting
  • Familiarity with Dealpath's product or the CRE investment space
  • Experience with enterprise collaboration software, data visualization, or analytics products
The Perks & Culture:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options
  • 401(k) retirement plan
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Flexible Time Off (FTO) policy
  • Commuter benefits program
  • Monthly wellness reimbursement to support physical and mental well-being
  • Hybrid Work Policy
  • Base salary: $125,000 - $140,000, Variable: $10,000
  • This position is also eligible for Dealpath's equity plan.
  • Your compensation will be based upon several factors including your experience, qualifications, education, location, and the skills assessed in Dealpath's interview process. Your actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
  • Dealpath's compensation ranges are determined by current market data, so compensation data posted on our job posts may change as new market data becomes available.
