Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Product manager is passionate about Marketing and want to focus their skills on product management. They are ready to grow their strategic thinking and analytical skills by working with an experienced product management team to assist with researching market trends and competitive activity, researching new products and associated customer needs plus documenting those needs, preparing and conducting market research, writing business cases and improving the existing product portfolio. They will assist the Senior Product Manager or Senior Portfolio Manager and work with development teams to deliver new products to market within assigned product categories.  This hybrid role is expected to be on-site in the Versailles, Ohio location 4 days a week and one day remote.  

ESSENTIAL/PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Develop an understanding of the marketplace, including practice trends, regulatory issues, and competitive activity.

  • Assist with market research and analysis of competitive offerings.

  • Assist with customer validation and customer evaluation of proposed solutions.

  • Support development of value propositions and relevant content for product launches.

  • Help develop training materials and deliver product training as needed.

  • Interface with engineering on new product development and improvement projects.

  • Develop and communicate product and market needs to cross-functional teams. Assist with necessary documentation.

  • Assist with the creation and delivery of business cases to company leadership.

  • Other responsibilities as needed.

SECONDARY DUTIES:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing or Engineering field of study. MBA preferred. 1-3 years experience preferred. Experience in medical technology development is desired. Specific experience in the veterinary field is desired.  Midmark will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.  This is not a position for which sponsorship will be provided.  Individuals with temporary visas or who need sponsorship for work authorization now or in the future, are not eligible for hire.
