About the role

As a Product Team Lead, you’ll be the first‑line people leader responsible for guiding a team of Product Managers and Associate Product Managers while owning the strategy and direction for a defined product line or capability area, or a small domain within TQL’s technology ecosystem. This role balances people leadership, product strategy, and execution enablement in equal measure. The Product Team Lead develops talent, defines strategy for their area, and partners closely with engineering leadership to ensure teams deliver outcomes that create meaningful business and customer value.

What we’re looking for
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, data, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5–8 years of product management or closely related experience, including experience leading PMs or mentoring senior ICs required.
  • Experience partnering closely with engineering leadership in an agile environment
  • Demonstrate success defining strategy, guiding cross‑functional teams, and delivering complex products or capabilities
  • Strong leadership skills including coaching, feedback, and performance management
  • The ability to drive alignment across teams without direct authority
  • Excellent communication and storytelling abilities across technical and business audiences
What you’ll be doing
  • Lead end‑to‑end discovery efforts, including user research, workflow analysis, and journey mapping
  • Guide PMs in leading high‑quality discovery activities including customer research, workflow analysis, and journey mapping
  • Connect insights across teams or systems to identify cross‑cutting needs or patterns
  • Own strategy and mid‑term direction for the defined product line or capability area
  • Frame opportunities using customer, business, operational, and industry insights
  • Define approaches and priorities that guide PMs toward meaningful, measurable outcomes
  • Partner with the Group Product Manager or Director to support portfolio planning, capacity alignment, and prioritization across teams. As well as engineering leadership
  • Remove blockers, clarify priorities, and create the conditions for teams to execute well
  • Use insights to refine strategy, improve ways of working, and support PMs in improving product quality
  • Lead, coach, and develop Product Managers and Associate Product Managers through clear expectations, quality feedback, and structured development plans
  • Manage performance, support career progression, and ensure strong product practices across the team
