Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. Arthrex is actively searching for an Associate Product Manager or a Product Manager to support the growth and development of our Power Instruments portfolio. Within this role, you will help create and manage a portfolio of Power solutions by partnering with cross-functional team of surgeons and Arthrex employees to provide products which enable surgeons to treat their patients better.
The successful candidate will build relationships with key customers and internal departments to help drive new product innovation and manage existing product lines. The position is based in Naples, FL (not remote) and does require travel. Join our talented team at a global medical device company focused on Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™.
Main Objective:
Plans, organizes, and controls the powered instrument capital equipment product line from conceptual stages through product life cycles to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and corporate growth objectives by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead cross-functional product development efforts in partnership with Marketing, Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, and Operations from concept through commercialization.
  • Define and execute product strategy, including market research, competitive analysis, pricing, positioning, and lifecycle management (launch through phase-out).
  • Develop and maintain a prioritized set of customer and market requirements to ensure products align with business objectives and market opportunities.
  • Manage the full product development lifecycle, including planning, scheduling, risk mitigation, issue resolution, and coordination through design, prototype, and production release stages.
  • Drive project execution by establishing objectives, allocating resources, monitoring budgets, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within financial targets.
  • Provide technical and financial analysis, including product justification, profit estimates, forecasting, and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders (including customers and key surgeons) to gather insights, maintain relationships, and ensure alignment on scope, quality, and deliverables.
  • Coordinate product launches and commercialization efforts, including sales enablement, marketing communications, training, and distribution strategy to maximize market penetration.
  • Collaborate with Marketing team to plan and develop assets to educate and inform end users about the products.
  • Conducts surgeon and sales rep product and procedure training.
  • Deliver technical expertise, training, and support to internal teams, sales representatives, and customers, including resolving complex product issues.
  • Coordinates product introduction and market exploitation with marketing and sales organizations to ensure maximum penetration of market segment.
  • Monitor product performance post-launch, ensuring ongoing optimization to meet financial goals and customer requirements.
  • Identify growth opportunities, including partnerships and complementary products, to expand the portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, quality standards, and documentation, including review of testing, reporting, and validation.
  • Prepare and present project updates, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Travel up to 25% as required.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in business or engineering.
  • Master's degree is preferred.
  • Associate Product Manager level requires at least 1 year of orthopedic medical device product management and/or sales and/or engineering and/or marketing experience OR a Master's degree.
  • Product Manager level requires at least 5 years of orthopedic medical device product management (up and/or downstream marketing) and/or sales and/or engineering experience.
  • Experience related to powered instruments for orthopedic applications preferred.
  • Ability to work with cadaveric specimens.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
  • Knowledge of the orthopedic market.
  • Skilled in working with different functions and effectively coordinates their activities to achieve desired results.
  • Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections, in addition to excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills are required.
