Job description

Position: Wave Planner
Location: Palmetto, GA
Schedule: Sunday–Thursday, 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Pay: Up to $19.00/hr (based on experience)

Job Summary
We are hiring a Wave Planner for a client in the Palmetto, GA area. This role previews and selects groups of orders into waves to optimize facility shipping capacity, working closely with the Office Services Manager and Operations team to keep production flowing efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with WMS System, MS Office, Island Pacific, and SOUP

  • Evaluate daily workload by function (special handling, picks, receiving, etc.) to level facility and departmental capacity

  • Receive and process requests from Merchandise Coordinators and Customer Service to expedite, modify, or release orders

  • Work with Operations Managers to level workloads between manual and automated environments to meet shipping requirements

  • Meet with Operations Staff as needed to review staffing, equipment utilization, and system parameters; make in-process wave modifications as required

  • Release customer orders and communicate with Customer Service to resolve order exceptions when required

  • Level workloads between pallet, case, and manual picking

  • Coordinate with other Wave Planners and Operations Supervisors to manage manpower and product flow to meet daily distribution requirements in an automated environment

  • Ensure all billings for automated distributions (pre- and post-) are completed

  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and assist fellow associates as needed

Must Haves

  • High school diploma

  • 1–3 years of experience in distribution/wave planning or relevant experience

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Word, Excel)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
