How you’ll make an impact in this role

This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated Cardiology Nurse Practitioner to join an employed position within a busy, well-respected practice, supported by a strong referral base and the full resources of a robust health system network.

  • The Team & Structure: Join an established, highly collaborative cardiology team consisting of 3 dedicated physicians and 3 advanced practice providers (expanding to 4 total NPs) under the expert supervision of Dr. Umang Patel, Dr. Ashwani Bedi, and Dr. Deepak Gaba.
  • Practice Setting: Experience a balanced 50/50 blended clinical schedule splitting time between high-acuity inpatient care and outpatient continuity clinics.
  • Specialty Assets: Direct integration into an advanced electrophysiology program utilizing clinical technologies like Pacemate, AthenaHealth, and Sunrise Clinical Manager.
  • Drive Clinical Excellence: Formulate complex clinical decisions and manage intricate arrhythmia patterns for advanced cardiology and electrophysiology patients across both acute care and clinic settings.
  • Enhance Patient Access: Deliver highly efficient care coordination, performing comprehensive cardiac consults, diagnostics, and patient rounding to maximize patient throughput and minimize hospital length-of-stay.
  • Procedural Support: Safely assist and collaborate with electrophysiologists on advanced cardiac procedures while overseeing pre- and post-procedural management.
  • Strategic Reach: Actively support the program's growth through localized clinical outreach operations located within 15–20 minutes of the primary hospital hub.
  • Academic Synergy: Participate in providing top-tier clinical mentorship by hosting future generations of healthcare leaders through UE/USI student clinical rotations.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Nurse Practitioner specializing in Prescriptive Authority credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.
  • Registered Nurse credentialed from the Indiana Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education:

  • Master's degree of Nursing required.

What additional preferences we're seeking
  • Required Track: Must be a certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) holding or eligible for an Indiana state license.
  • Clinical Foundation: Prior clinical background in cardiology (either as a practicing Nurse Practitioner or specialized Registered Nurse) is a requirement for this position.
