Your future role at a glance

Location: Anderson, IN

Facility: Ascension St. Vincent Anderson, Ability to float to St. Vincent Fishers as well

Department/Specialty: Polysomnography, Sleep Lab

Schedule: Nights | Full Time | 6:00pm - 6:30am | Rotating weekends

How you'll make an impact in this role
  • Guide the Patient Experience: Create a calm, welcoming environment by educating patients on study procedures and gathering critical history to ensure they feel comfortable and safe throughout the night.

  • Monitor and Protect Patient Wellness: Perform real-time diagnostic testing with a vigilant eye, intervening immediately to address patient needs or technical adjustments to ensure a high-quality, safe study.

  • Translate Data into Discovery: Analyze and score complex sleep patterns, integrating patient data to provide the clinical team with the precise reports needed for accurate diagnosis and treatment.

  • Maintain Diagnostic Integrity: Manage the calibration and care of sophisticated monitoring equipment, ensuring every piece of technology is functioning perfectly to provide reliable, life-changing data.

What minimum qualifications you'll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required.  American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following required:
    • Cert Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Respiratory Therapist specializing in Registered credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Reg Polysomnographic Tchnlgst credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnograhic Technologists (BRPT) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.
    •  Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) obtained within 24 Months (2 years) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
