In this role, you'll serve as a vital link between our branches, operations teams, and clients by ensuring account documentation is accurate, transactions are processed efficiently, and operational requests are resolved promptly. What You'll Do

As a Bank Operations Specialist I, you'll help maintain the integrity and efficiency of SmartBank's operational processes by:

  • Providing exceptional support to clients and associates by researching issues, resolving concerns, and delivering timely solutions.
  • Reviewing, processing, scanning, indexing, and maintaining account documentation.
  • Validating data and ensuring compliance with established procedures and quality standards.
  • Completing workflow tasks accurately and within required deadlines.
  • Processing operational entries within core banking, general ledger, and correspondent account systems.
  • Managing and responding to Fresh Service requests and operational support tickets.
  • Creating and escalating tickets through applicable systems such as FIS and Fresh Service when corrections are required.
  • Assisting with documentation exceptions and ensuring resolutions align with departmental standards.
  • Developing and maintaining operational procedures and reference materials.
  • Tracking task completion and maintaining accurate departmental records.
  • Participating in team meetings, training opportunities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting compliance with all applicable banking laws, regulations, policies, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Performing additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational goals.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two to five years of banking or related financial services experience.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
