Job description

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Location: Spring, TX

What You will Do:

The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting the design, qualification, and sustaining of downhole tools and associated components through development, and testing. This role requires strong technical execution, sound engineering judgment, and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions that meet customer and business requirements.

Product Design & Development

  • Support the design, analysis, and modification of products and systems under the guidance of senior engineering staff or project leadership.
  • Develop engineering calculations, technical specifications, design documentation, and reports.
  • Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
  • Apply engineering principles related to materials, manufacturing processes, tolerancing, and system integration.

Testing & Validation

  • Develop and execute test plans and procedures to verify design performance and compliance with requirements.
  • Conduct laboratory and field testing activities.
  • Analyze test data and document results, conclusions, and recommendations.
  • Support product qualification and reliability validation efforts.

Manufacturing & Field Support

  • Provide technical support for manufacturing, assembly, and field operations.
  • Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action activities.
  • Recommend product and process improvements to enhance quality, reliability, and operational performance.

Quality, Reliability & HSE

  • Incorporate quality, reliability, and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) considerations into engineering designs and decisions.
  • Evaluate engineering solutions with consideration for cost, risk, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to engineering standards and procedures.


What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years of engineering experience in product design, testing, manufacturing support, or product development.
  • Proficiency with SolidWorks software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of engineering calculations, design verification testing, and technical problem solving.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical standards.
  • Experience troubleshooting technical issues and supporting root cause investigations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with product qualification and reliability testing.
  • Experience conducting design verification testing and analyzing test data.
  • Experience performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
