Job description


Your day to day
  • Translate business objectives into clear marketing briefs, channel strategies, and execution plans that support revenue-driving priorities across the Americas region.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Commercial Marketing strategies and Americas region-specific programs, ensuring effective/efficient use of all available channels, including but not limited to paid, owned, earned and partner channels and touchpoints.
  • Execute the Campaign Marketing process, documentation, and workflow in response to business needs. Lead cross-functional discovery, kickoff, and ongoing project meetings, including developing and sharing presentation materials, project timelines, worksheets, and marketing project plans with GMSS marketing channel teams, Social, PR, Hotel Communications, GIAD, and other key partners.
  • Work with internal teams, vendors and/or agencies to define specifications for each initiative, including but not limited to selection of target audience, creative approach, offer/ incentive and production details; present materials/recommendations to the Manager for approval; implement approved initiatives.
  • Maintain communication and provide strategic guidance to cross-functional teams and channels to ensure each initiative stays on track, is delivered on time, and is implemented effectively.
  • Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and decision points across projects, escalating issues and recommendations to the manager to maintain momentum and support timely decision-making.
  • Maintain updates for leadership, gaining necessary approvals when needed
  • Execute programs through our IHG process, systems and operations
  • Monitor and report all relevant competitive activity across all elements of the marketing mix and make appropriate recommendations to management.
  • Ensure each campaign or initiative has proper controls in place for accurate measurement and analysis. Partner with Marketing Effectiveness to monitor and optimize campaign performance in real time, then present results and recommendations for the next iteration to the manager for approval.
  • Assist in presentation building inclusive of project or campaign storytelling materials and leadership information sharing.
  • Ability to maintain excellent working relationships across all functions and all levels, including ability to influence and successfully implement marketing initiatives.
  • Work with internal and external resources to establish and/or communicate project timelines, action steps and status updates. Follow up, as appropriate, to ensure timely execution to meet established deadlines.
  • Embody attention to detail, open communication, consistent organization, and time and project management skills that enable speed to market and promote executional excellence.
  • Support manager with other marketing projects as necessary.

What we need from you
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.
  • 2 to 5 years of progressive work-related experience in a corporate marketing environment, with demonstrated technical proficiency related to the position, including experience with internal and external communications and creative development.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of marketing concepts and basic marketing principles.
  • Demonstrates experience in integrated marketing campaigns and commercial-driving tactics; preferred.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret campaign performance data, identify insights, and translate findings into actionable recommendations for future marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing clarity of information to management, key stakeholders, and agency partners.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • General knowledge of hotel systems and operations beneficial.
  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.

Location - Atlanta, GA; Our hybrid work structure is an expectation of three (3) days a week in office. This expectation may be adjusted to evolve with the changing needs of the business.
