EMERGENCY | ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY — LITIGATION/ (Associate Attorney – Litigation (Insurance Defense))

Location: Denver, Colorado (Denver Tech Center) — 100% Onsite

Position Overview

The firm is seeking Associate Attorneys with 3+ years of litigation experience to manage a variety of insurance defense matters. The ideal candidate will have experience handling litigation involving insurance claims, personal injury, premises liability, coverage disputes, construction matters, or bad faith claims.

Candidates should be comfortable managing cases independently, conducting legal research, preparing written analysis, taking and defending depositions, drafting motions, and representing clients in state and federal court proceedings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Investigate and defend first-party and third-party insurance claims
  • Handle litigation matters involving:
  • Personal injury
  • Premises liability
  • Construction claims
  • Coverage disputes
  • Bad faith matters
  • Take and defend depositions
  • Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and case analyses
  • Attend hearings in state and federal courts
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written recommendations
  • Provide pre-litigation evaluations and litigation strategy guidance
  • Prepare coverage analyses and legal opinions
  • Conduct examinations under oath (EUO), when applicable
  • Manage assigned cases from initial evaluation through resolution

Required Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
  • Active Colorado Bar license required
  • 3+ years of litigation experience in a law firm environment
  • Strong preference for experience in:
  • Insurance defense
  • Insurance coverage litigation
  • Personal injury defense
  • Premises liability
  • Construction litigation
  • Bad faith claims
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to manage a fast-paced caseload independently
  • Excellent communication and client relationship skills
  • Comfortable utilizing legal technology and case management systems
  • Professional, collaborative, and team-oriented approach
