A well-established Indianapolis law firm with a 50-year history in real estate law is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing landlord-tenant litigation practice.
This position offers substantial courtroom experience and hands-on responsibility representing property owners and property management companies throughout Indiana. The successful candidate will manage cases from initial filing through resolution, including eviction actions, collections matters, lease enforcement disputes, and related litigation.
We are seeking a motivated attorney who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys litigation, and is eager to develop practical courtroom and client-management skills. This position is well suited for an attorney who enjoys regular court appearances, takes ownership of their work, and values learning from experienced practitioners in a collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
• Manage a busy landlord-tenant litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Appear regularly in courts throughout Indiana
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and other legal documents
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case strategy and status
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, legal assistants, and court personnel
• Provide practical, responsive legal counsel while maintaining excellent client service
Qualifications
• 1 – 5 years of legal experience preferred
• Licensed to practice law in Indiana and in good standing
• Prior courtroom experience preferred
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively
• Ability to work independently while collaborating as part of a team
• Professional, detail-oriented, and client-focused
