POSITION SUMMARY

Borden Dairy is seeking a results-oriented, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Key Account Manager. This role is responsible for managing all aspects of the sales function for designated key accounts, chains, or customers. The Key Account Manager will play a critical role in maintaining and expanding strategic relationships, driving sales growth, and supporting the execution of company initiatives within our Key Accounts. Oversight of support staff may be required depending on account scope.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Demand Generation
    • Identify growth opportunities and develop new opportunities within Key Accounts
  • Drive revenue by upselling, cross-selling, and renewing contracts.
  • Customer Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of customer organizations
  • Profitability and Portfolio Oversight
    • Manage pricing strategies, promotional activities, and SKU optimization
  • Strategic Collaboration
    • Partner with the national sales team to align and execute core initiatives
  • Reporting and Analysis
    • Deliver financial summaries, performance benchmarks, customer insights, and market trends to management
  • Channel Leadership
    • Promote growth through strategic planning, lead generation, benchmarking, and best practice sharing
    • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer engagements

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree (BS/BA) required
  • 8โ€“10+ years of sales experience in the consumer products industry
    • Experience in the dairy category preferred
    • Fresh fluid milk and DSD (Direct Store Delivery) experience a plus
  • Strong understanding of customer and channel dynamics
  • Proven success in sales growth and new customer development
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
  • Proficiency in customer planning and management tools
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across departments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to travel as needed within the assigned territory
