POSITION SUMMARY

An Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing and tracking a company’s products and materials. This role focuses on maintaining accurate records of stock, monitoring inventory levels, and ensuring the proper flow of goods from receiving to shipping. The specialist works to balance supply and demand, preventing issues like stock shortages or excess inventory.

To maintain optimal stock levels, this position requires collaboration with various departments, including procurement, logistics, and sales. The Inventory Control Specialist ensures that inventory data is accurate and accessible to other business units. This coordination is key to the timely replenishment of goods and the overall efficiency of the supply chain.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and audits to reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and inventory records.

  • Implement and maintain a system for organizing and locating items within the warehouse to optimize storage and retrieval.

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
