Summary: The Business Planning & Analysis (BP&A) Intern is an entry-level, part-time position designed to provide hands-on exposure to financial planning, performance measurement, and data analysis within a banking environment. This role supports the BP&A team by assisting with data collection, reporting, and basic analysis while developing foundational skills in financial analytics, business intelligence tools, and cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the BP&A team in gathering, organizing, and validating financial and operational data
  • Support the development and maintenance of bankwide and business line performance metrics and KPIs
  • Help prepare routine reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for internal management use
  • Participate in basic financial and trend analysis under supervision
  • Learn and gain hands-on experience using Excel, SQL, and Power BI
  • Collaborate with team members and other departments
  • Perform additional duties or projects assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interest in finance, analytics, and data-driven decision making
  • Basic analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a part-time role
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Minimum Experience:

  • Pursuing bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or Data Analytics
  • Prior internship, coursework, or project-based experience is helpful but not required
  • Certifications highly recognized included but are not limited to Azure Data Fundamentals, SQL Certified Associate, & Power BI Data Analyst Associate
