Job description

Consider joining the Pennex family as an Inside Sales Representative at our Leetonia, OH location.  The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing the inside sales process and driving outstanding, proactive customer service for an assigned group of accounts.  The Inside Sales Representative will accurately provide price and delivery for all our products to our customers in a timely and courteous fashion, utilizing current organizational processes and systems and applying resourcefulness and strong attention to detail. This position is the primary point of customer contact within the organization for the customer and will answer customer questions concerning orders, products and Pennex services. 


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Relationship management through constant proactive customer contact, serve as primary contact for all communication with customers on issues relating to orders, pricing, delivery, status and assist with credit issues.  Utilize and direct all resources of the company (quality, operations and logistics) to assure a successful partnership.
  • Acting backup to commercial or automotive counterpart when necessary.
  • Actively engage in the problem-solving process with Customer and internal Pennex resources when issues arise. Assume responsibility for providing prompt, detailed and actionable information related to all phases of customer service.
  • Ensure up-to-date, accurate customer records including orders, acknowledgements, contacts, reports, Epics entries, Microsoft Dynamics, . Prior SAP experience is a plus.
  • Enters customer orders into system to meet customer requirement dates and assure accuracy, consults with operations on extrusion and delivery dates and prints and sends customer acknowledgements. Contacts customer regarding any discrepancies with the initial orders and communicates potential issues or on time delivery and status.
  • Coordinates with Materials Manager, Inside Sales Manager, Extrusion Manager, Scheduler/Planner, Fabrication Manager and Shipping Supervisor on customer orders and shipment plans. Checks order status for customers in order to ensure on-time delivery and issues and delays are communicated in a proactive timely manner for resolution.
  • Monitors and tracks order via the open order report and escalate any discrepancies.
  • Attends relevant plant meetings to include S&OP, Customer Complaint Notification meetings, and shipping touch points.
  • Handles conversations with customers regarding complaints and begins CCN process and enters complaints into the PQM system.  Forwards complaint information to Quality Manager, Inside Sales Manager, or Technical Manager.
  • Checks inventory weekly against open orders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education 

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 Experience 

  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in manufacturing automotive or commercial/business to business sales/account management.

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States, visa sponsorships are not available.
