Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile Senior Industrial Designer to join our fast-paced, collaborative team. This role sits at the intersection of design, engineering, and product strategy. You will design best-in-class, connected retail product solutions focused on access, security, and user experience.
As an individual contributor, you will drive your own projects while actively supporting broader team goals. Additionally, you will translate complex requirements into thoughtful, manufacturable solutions and confidently contribute to technical decision-making early in development.
Key Responsibilities
• Translate complex requirements into thoughtful, manufacturable product solutions.
• Contribute to technical decision-making early in the product development cycle.
• Apply deep knowledge of production processes, including injection molding and draft angles.
• Develop innovative connected solutions (IoT) for retail security and access control markets.
• Create high-fidelity renderings and visual concepts to communicate design intent.
• Demonstrate strong process management experience to guide projects from concept to production.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Experience: 7+ years of experience in industrial design as a generalist.
• CAD & Visualization: Proficiency in SolidWorks, Keyshot, and Adobe Photoshop.
• Bonus Skills: Hands-on experience with Vizcom is a plus.
• Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of manufacturing, molding processes, and draft angles.
• IoT Expertise: Proven track record of designing hardware for connected (IoT) solutions.
