Psychiatric Technician - Inpatient Behavioral HealthShift Details
  • 3x12-hour shifts
  • Day/Evening/Night rotating schedule
  • Includes holidays, weekends, on-call, and callback per unit needs
Position Overview
  • Seeking a compassionate team player to provide direct care and clinical services to inpatient psychiatric patients on an individual basis
  • Assists with activities of daily living, social rehabilitation, and psychiatric rehabilitation as directed by the RN
  • Communicates effectively with patients and ensures they have access to required services
  • Informs the RN of any changes in patient condition
  • Participates in rounds and group therapy as needed
  • Works with children and adolescents ranging in age from 8 to 18
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a psychiatric technician
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Psychology or Sociology required
  • Must have experience working with children and adolescents ranging from ages 8-18
