Our public safety and professional communications business sector focuses on radio and software products that serve first responders, military, government agencies, and commercial fleet users. As part of our team, you will support, implement, and help design cutting-edge public safety products, impacting millions of people, for our critical communication systems throughout the world.


This Senior Associate Field Engineer will be a member of a team responsible for the implementation, support, design, and support of standardized configurations for all VMware, Windows, and Linux platforms used within the critical communications system. Additionally, the candidate will have some experience with networking and cyber security architecture and technology.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Montior nationwide communication system to guarantee seamless operation
  • Provide tier 1 and 2 levels of support internal and externally facing customers. This includes identifying field problems, isolating root cause of identified issues, and initiating corrective actions in fielded systems.
  • Interact with system engineers, program managers, and field engineers regarding ongoing infrastructure activities. 
  • Responsible for escalating and interfacing with vendor technical assistance centers to resolve vendor software issues.
  • Practice standard cyber security operations to maintain the overall cyber security posture of both internal and third-party solutions provided to our mission critical communications customers.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed.
  • Ability to obtain a US Secuity Clearance

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience in Field Engineering.
  • Security + certification
  • Expeience with virtualization platforms.
  • Experience with Windows operating systems.
  • Experience with CISCO routers and switches networking.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years of experience with server administration.
  • 2 plus years of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or other Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with both Windows and Linux server administration.
  • Experience with system administration utilizing Active Directory.
  • Experience with configuring and operating CISCO network devices. 
  • Experience with running network scans and analyzing data for security vulnerabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent project tasks and prioritize them appropriately
  • Ability to communicate issues in a less technical sense to customers.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills which include customer focus, change management, teamwork, diversity, and integrity.
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Tier 1 and 2 technical troubleshooting experience.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Washington State is $67,000 - $124,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
