The Epic Acute Clinical Documentation Analyst plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is in at Union Health.


The Epic Acute Clinical Documentation Analyst supports the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of the inpatient, clinical case management, and obstetric modules. The analyst is responsible for design, build, and troubleshooting related to the application. This role partners with clinical teams, case managers, and IT teams to ensure the modules meet clinical needs, regulatory requirements, and operational goals.

EPIC Acute Clinical Documentation Analyst Details

Essential Job Duties:

  • Collaborates closely with clinical teams, case managers, and leadership to gather requirements and translate them into effective system configurations.
  • Configure and optimize modules to support workflows such as documentation, clinical decision support, and patient management.
  • Clinical Case Management module to support workflows with case management processes, utilization review, and discharge planning.
  • Stork module to support obstetrics workflows, including prenatal care, labor & delivery, and postpartum documentation.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of inpatient, case management, and obstetric workflows to inform system design and optimize clinical practice.
