Position Responsibilities:
Study the project requirements, process planning, scheduling deliverables, and formulating thorough presentations such as Conceptual design reviews and detailed design reviews of the task over the results and findings. Prepare CAD models and Electrical Schematic for the components in confirmation with the client's standard operating procedures and practices. Support the client in BOM creation (which includes parts, ECO and ECR's) for engineering release and ECN`s for engineering changes and following up with the respective departments for their release through PLM. Component obsolescence management, Material selection and standardization of Electrical parts. Perform cost and value analyses of the concept. Review Design Quality (DQ) includes major technical drawings such as assemblies, installation, General arrangements. Coordination of ECO (Engineering Change Orders) and ECR's (Engineering change request) activities as per manufacturing customer's standards and procedures throughout the use of Product Lifecycle Management tools. Review and provide feedback on engineering changes created by other engineers to support engineering change board to approve the change. Understanding and familiarization of the customer's product and process requirements and training the delivery support team accordingly. Handling of critical tasks such as safety issues and field issues. Safety issues and Manufacturing field issues which will be a top priority in terms avoiding losses in terms man/machine/Financial.
Position Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, or related field, PLUS two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related position. Experience must include demonstrable knowledge of: Power Systems Design and Analysis, Rotating Equipment Analysis, Hazardous Area Compliance, Grounding and Lighting Protection, Signal Conditioning and Data Acquisition, Calibration and Lopp Checking, Process Control, Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511 compliance), Electrical Testing, Instrument Diagnostic, VFD Setup and Maintenance, Standards and Compliance (IEC, IEEE, ISO 50001), Corrosion and Mitigation Standards. Required experience and knowledge may be gained prior to or concurrently with Master's degree. Travel to unanticipated client locations throughout the U.S., approximately 30% as required. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
