JOB SUMMARY:

The Associate Director of Programs reports to the Vice President (VP), Programs. The Associate Director is responsible for implementing a suite of programs for NABA, helping to develop the Theories of Change (TOC) and Theories of Impact (TOI) and ensuring fidelity to model, rigorous evaluation and adaptation of programs to meet program goals and build business leaders at every step of the journey.

The Associate Director will balance strategic program design with hands-on operational execution, including stakeholder coordination, learning operations, participant experience management, reporting and evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration. This role requires the ability to build scalable program infrastructure, improve operational processes, leverage technology to enhance delivery and engagement, and adapt programs to support continuous improvement and long-term impact.

To be successful in this role, you will bring a strategic and solutions-oriented mindset, strong program design and operational management experience, and the ability to navigate evolving priorities in a fast-paced environment. You will be skilled at building relationships, coordinating across multiple stakeholders, anticipating needs, and driving execution with a thoughtful and collaborative approach.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of the Vice President (VP), Programs, this role will support the design, operational execution, continuous improvement, and evaluation of programs intended to engage students, professionals, corporate partners, and other stakeholders across NABAโ€™s ecosystem. The Associate Director will work collaboratively with internal teams, chapters, volunteers, vendors, and external partners to support high-quality program delivery, participant engagement, and measurable outcomes across NABAโ€™s portfolio of programs.

This role requires a balance of strategic program design and hands-on operational management, including stakeholder coordination, learning operations, participant experience management, reporting and evaluation, and cross-functional collaboration. The Associate Director will also support the development of scalable operational processes, workflows, and infrastructure to strengthen program effectiveness, consistency, and long-term impact.

As NABA continues to evolve, this position requires adaptability, strong organizational and relationship management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

General Accountabilities:

Program Strategy & Design - 30%

  • Develop and refine strategies, in partnership with the VP, Programs, that operationalize NABAโ€™s Theories of Change (TOC) and Theories of Impact (TOI).
  • Identify opportunities for innovation, growth, and alignment with member priorities, offering data-driven recommendations for iteration.
  • Ensure programs remain faithful to NABAโ€™s models while adapting to innovation and emerging opportunities.
  • Uphold fidelity to established program models, ensuring consistency and quality across all initiatives

Program Implementation - 50%

  • Lead the effective execution of NABA programming within the roleโ€™s designated scope, ensuring delivery against established goals and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong partnerships with chapters, members-at-large, and corporate stakeholders to activate programming that meets member needs.
  • Onboard and engage new stakeholders to strengthen alignment, foster collaboration, and expand program reach.
  • Monitor implementation progress, resolve barriers, and adapt approaches to ensure programs exceed expectations and remain responsive to member priorities

Administrative & Reporting - 20%

  • Manage program-related grants, including compliance with grant requirements, reporting, and evaluation. Monitor financial resources and manage program budgets.
  • Integration of Career Development programs with overall programming team operations in the areas of: Volunteer recruitment, management, and communication support, both internal and external resource curation, management, evaluation, and strategic planning
  • Serve as a role model in exemplifying the organizationโ€™s core values
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree, or equivalent combination of education, training, and 5 years + of relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years in progressive non -profit leadership capacity preferred
  • Volunteer management experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency with technology required, including CRM software (CRM functionality Microsoft Office, Google Suite, SharePoint, Asana, etc.)

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Understanding of association organizational model, and non-profit landscape preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including excellent public presentation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a multitude of stakeholders
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to thrive under pressure
  • Ability to work independently and work under deadlines
  • Proven stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to travel 10-20% within country and occasional out of region travel
