About the Role:

As the Associate Director, Sales at Harmless Harvest, you will provide strategic leadership across the Grocery channel, driving profitable sales growth and expanding market share. In this role, you will lead a team of Account Managers, while managing relationships with assigned accounts, brokers, distributors, and merchandisers within Grocery.

The Assoc. Dir., Sales will oversee a portfolio generating $20โ€“$50MM in revenue, with responsibility for multiple Tier 2 and Tier 3 national and/or regional customers ranging from $250K to $2.5MM in revenue. This position also includes the opportunity to develop and mentor direct reports.

What youโ€™ll be doing:

  • Build and nurture multi-level relationships with brokers, distributors, and other third-party partners to create compelling value propositions and drive strategic alignment with key retail customers.
  • Develop an annual business plan for the Grocery channel and work to meet planned volume goals and key performance indicators, including pricing, shelf presence, and ACV.
  • Lead and support your team of Account Managers to achieve KPIs across retail execution, account management, and broker/distributor relationships.
  • Foster a strong, collaborative team culture within the Grocery channel to ensure continuity, engagement, and long-term success.
  • Identify and implement process improvements that enhance your team's ability to deliver on sales objectives, including analytics, insights, and performance tracking/scorecarding.
  • Manage your budget responsibly across Trade, T&E, SG&A, and other related expenses.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the competitive landscape at both current and prospective accounts to position the brand effectively and win at the shelf.
  • Regularly analyze and evaluate sales performance, methods, and costs; leveraging data and insights to identify opportunities and drive growth.
  • Partner closely with the VP of Sales, Associate Director of Sales Planning & Trade, and cross-functional teams, spanning innovation, promotional strategy, shelf placement, pricing, and shopper marketing across grocery
  • Keep your team, and broader sales team, informed by clearly communicating customer information and sales activities to ensure smooth coordination and alignment across all necessary functions.

What Youโ€™ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 6โ€“8 years of sales management experience in grocery or consumer packaged goods, with a consistent track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals.
  • Experience managing headquarter calls at regional accounts and overseeing retail execution.
  • Experience managing broker and distributor relationships, including broadline and DSD, to meet customer objectives.
  • Background in perishable products is a plus
