Federal Work Study Eligible? Posting Number ST000944 Position Title Study Abroad Student Ambassador Department Center for Global Education Division Academic Affairs Supervisor Rachel Birkley Supervisor Title Associate Director, Study Abroad Description of Job Duties
  1. Deliver approximately twelve 10-15 minute presentations and/or Question & Answer sessions to classes and student groups, both in-person and/or virtually, on campus during fall and spring semesters.
  2. Complete two 1-hour trainings with the Study Abroad team.
  3. Record a 5-7 minute presentation about your experience abroad, to be shared with professors, student organizations, and on the Study Abroad Fair website.
  4. Assist with study abroad social media efforts on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, including takeovers and posts.
  5. Support the Study Abroad team during the Study Abroad Fair.
  6. Serve as a mentor for future students participating in their study abroad program.
  7. Be a positive representative of Study Abroad and continually promote our programs on campus.
Do the job duties for this position include any driving requirements? No Job Qualifications
  • Enrolled as a full-time student at North Central College for both fall and spring semesters.
  • Must have studied abroad, or anticipate studying abroad, in a North Central College Study Abroad program for at least 10 weeks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Dynamic personality.
  • High-quality customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
