As the Director of Nursing (titled Director of Health and Wellbeing) you will lead the integrated care and wellbeing for the residents of our community. This position is integral to actualizing the mission and vision for The Waters and is responsible for the leadership and direct supervision of care team members who provide integrated nursing and related holistic services to our residents to create a culture of presence and purpose. Through exceptional customer service, utilizing courtesy, dignity, and respect you will:
  • Provide overall responsibility for clinical oversight, supervision and quality clinical care of nursing clinical staff (including RN/LPN, HHA, RA, CNA)
  • Determine proper acceptance of residents into health services by considering all parts of a resident's life
  • Maintain assessment and service agreement compliance with initiation of services, change of condition or at intervals specified by state regulations
  • Work with and educate residents and families to recommend care options and maintain excellent communication with residents and families
  • Hire, train, supervise clinical staff (including RN/LPN, RA, CNA)
  • Participates in "on call" requirements, as applicable. Responsible to cover shifts as staff nurse, when required
  • Support the community budget by actively managing staffing, training and controlling overtime costs
  • Be knowledgeable about evidence based and integrated therapies and current trends in care for elders (and those with memory loss) and work to develop processes that propel the entire company to better care for our residents through training and education of staff, residents and families

Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in good standing by the state community is located
  • Previous experience in health care leadership, nursing administration or other related experience
  • Knowledge of and maintain compliance with all Department of Health Regulations as it pertains to senior living communities with a comprehensive home care license
  • Knowledge of Eldermark software a plus, but not necessary
  • Excellent supervision, management and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate in a mode or manner understood by resident
