Business Development Manager
 
Our client is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive business growth by identifying, developing, and securing new opportunities within the civil infrastructure sector. This role is responsible for building strategic client relationships, leading business development initiatives, preparing proposals and project estimates, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that meet client requirements. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding market presence while supporting business strategy, project pursuits, and long-term client partnerships.
 
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
  • Develop and execute business development strategies that drive growth within the civil infrastructure market
  • Identify, cultivate, and maintain strong relationships with clients, industry partners, and key stakeholders to generate new business opportunities
  • Prepare and deliver competitive proposals, presentations, project estimates, and bid submissions that align with client requirements
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering, project management, and sales teams to develop tailored solutions and ensure successful project execution
  • Evaluate bid packages, analyze project requirements, and prepare accurate, competitive pricing and quotations
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and support strategic decision-making
  • Manage digital marketing content, including LinkedIn and website updates, to strengthen brand awareness and market presence
  • Coordinate product samples, shipments, and client deliveries to support business development activities and customer satisfaction
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships to improve collaboration, operational efficiency, and overall project success
Your strengths include:
  • Post-secondary education in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 6+ years of business development experience within the civil infrastructure or construction industry
  • Proven success developing client relationships, securing new business, and achieving strategic growth objectives
  • Experience preparing project estimates, evaluating bid packages, and developing competitive proposals
  • Strong understanding of civil infrastructure projects, construction processes, and commercial negotiations
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms and digital marketing tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, results-driven approach
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Willingness to travel as required to support client meetings, project pursuits, and industry events
