Job Title: Systems Developer- Linux

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Duration: 6+ Months Contract

Job Description:

The role of the Systems Developer is to develop and maintain code which automates system management tasks to speed system delivery, ensure consistency and enforce standards. The candidate must have a strong understanding of Linux-based system administration and significant experience using scripting languages such as PERL, PHP and shell scripting to automate system administration tasks.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years experience as a system administrator and provide examples of previous automation experience as outlined above.

Required skills:

Significant Linux system administration experience in a large heterogeneous environment

Proven ability designing and developing scripts to automate system administration activities

Strong experience in PERL and Shell scripting with code samples provided

Experience with virtualization technologies; OVM or Solaris Domains preferred

Strong experience with network services such as DNS, LDAP, Print Services, etc.

Experience with XML technologies such as XSL, XQuery, XSD, SOAP, WSDL, XPath

Experience with FIM tools such as OSSEC or TripWire

Experience with security scanners such as Nessus and/or assessment services such as TrustWave

Experience with SEIM tools such as Splunk

Deployment and administration of two-factor authentication solutions such as SecurID or Duo Security

Experience hardening systems using tools such as TCP Wrappers, PAM, SELinux & iptables

Administration of enterprise class backup solutions such as NetBackup

Experience with EMC SAN solutions such as VMAX and XtremIO

Preferred Skills:

Solaris system administration

Experience writing SQL code

Oracle E-Business Suite

Scrum/Agile methodologies

System administration within a PCI environment

Preferred Certifications:

  • Oracle Certified Associate, Oracle Linux 5 and 6 System Administrator Certification or Oracle Certified Professional, Oracle Linux 6 System Administrator Certification
