SUMMARY
The Associate Commissioning Engineer configures and verifies physical security systems, conducts testing, and optimizes settings for seamless performance. They prioritize meticulous documentation, troubleshoot basic technical issues, and provide training to end-users. Collaborating closely with clients, project teams, and colleagues, the engineer ensures a successful commissioning process in adherence to Prime standards.
Requirements
Major Roles and Responsibilities:
  • System Configuration:
  • Configure access control devices, cameras, and system components per design specifications and direction.
  • Follow established procedures to ensure consistent system setup.
  • System Verification & Testing:
  • Execute validation tests on devices and integrations.
  • Verify field installations align with drawings and scope of work.
  • Identify basic deficiencies and correct them where appropriate.
  • Documentation:
  • Complete commissioning documentation accurately and on time.
  • Upload records into company documentation platform.
  • Customer Interaction:
  • Provide basic end-user instruction on system operation as directed.
  • Troubleshooting:
  • Resolve routine configuration issues and escalate advanced problems appropriately.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • A minimum of 0-2 years of technical experience preferably in physical security systems or 1-3 years field technician experience preferably in physical security systems.
  • Basic Understanding of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, and related technologies.
  • Basic Understanding of network protocols and system integration.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Genetec Certification (OTC 001).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

  • Minimum 12 months of service time in the Associate role required before promotion eligibility to Commissioning Engineer.?

Additional Notes:
  • Probationary period of 90 days.

  • Individual must be able to read and understand instructions in English as well as possess good oral & written communication skills.
